lotusinthemud: Babysitting Your Boredom

Interesting blog post.
When people say they are bored, often they
mean that they don't want to experience the
sense of emptiness, which is also an expression
of openness and vulnerability. So they pick up
the newspaper or read anything else that's lying
around the room --even reading what it says on
a cereal box to keep themselves entertained.

That is wonderful. Glad you posted it on your site. I too am more "empty" than bored, since I should always have something to do because I love to read and write, but it isn't boredom it is emptiness, the need for something that always has us looking everywhere, and never really finding it, because it can not be found due to us always wanting.
