Zen Master Seung Sahn - No Mind, No Buddha

No mind, no Buddha, what does that mean? If you strongly practice mantra at that time there is only one mind. One mind means empty mind. Empty mind means before thinking. Before thinking means no speech, no words. Before thinking is true mind, true Buddha. So, no mind, no Buddha.

Can you recommend any good writings on actual sitting? A lot of what is written discusses the concept of zen, but not so much about what to do (or not do) when your on the cushion. Also, any idea why your icon doesn't drag onto my link's bar? (I have a link, just not your icon.)

I think Three Pillars of Zen by Kapleau has some very good basic info. It's a great book.

As for the dragging icon puzzle, no idea.
